PRODUCT APPRAISAL/APPLICATION
Rotary Vacuum Evaporator as the name suggests is designed & conceptualized for Vacuum distillation of heat sensitive compounds mainly for use in Research Institutes, Pharmaceutical Laboratories & Chemical Industries. Evaporation by means of a Rotary Evaporator is the most common & important method to separate a solvent. The unit enables quick vacuum distillation of solvent at high & low temperatures. Apart from that, these units also facilitate vacuum drying of powders, solids etc. at low temperature & has a variety of usages in Agricultural Research Institutes, Laboratories and many other general and specialized applications & other experiments requiring drying & simultaneous vacuum of subject matter.
CONSTRUCTION DETAILS OF ROTARY EVAPORATOR
Unit Consist of an evaporating flask rotated by a Non-sparkling Induction motor in a water bath. Provision of speed control/regulator helps in quick vacuum distillation of solvent at high & low temperature, thereby preventing foaming & bumping of the liquid (Solvent) into the evaporating flask and also distillation under controlled atmosphere. Also facilitates vacuum drying of powders, solids etc, Low Temperature Vacuum distillation of heat sensitive compounds. The Evaporating Flask is Pear shaped to give large surface area of evaporation and is clamped to a glass duct which goes through the drive unit in to the condenser. The Condenser is fitted with standard joint at the top and the bottom for receiver flask. The unit is incorporated with manual Quick Action jack. To work on 220V/230 Volts, 50 Hz., A.C. supply.
BASIC CONSTRUCTION OF WATER BATH
Double walled robust construction. Water Bath is convection Heated unit. Outer Chamber/body of the Bath is fabricated out of thick Mild Steel Sheet/PCRC sheet duly pre-treated with primers for rust proofing & and durably powder coated. The inner chamber is made of satin finish corrosion resistant high Grade Stainless Steel sheet .The gap in between the walls is filled with special grade mineral glass wool, which ensures maximum thermal efficiency in baths.
TEMPERATURE REQUIREMENT (HEATING ELEMENTS)
An efficient Heating arrangement is incorporated in the bath. Immersion Heating element of high quality is placed in the chamber in such a manner so as to enable uniform temperature all over the inner working area.
TEMPERATURE RANGE, CONTROL & SENSITIVITY
Temperature range of the Water Bath is 50C above ambient to 950C max
TEMPERATURE CONTROL & SENSITIVITY
The temperature inside the water bath is controlled through High quality capillary Thermostat. Temperature inside the bath is controlled with a sensitivity of + 1/20C (approx) or better.
POWER REQUIREMENT
Suitable to operate on 220/230 Volts, 50 Hertz, AC supply.
