Horizontal Glass distillation apparatus provides fast output of Quality distilled or disinfected water highly suitable for laboratory usage. In addition to that highly useful for variety of applications in research laboratories, educational institutes and various R & D laboratories.
PROCESS
Glass Distillation works on a simple principle of boiling water into water vapour, condensing it through a condenser & then returning it to its liquid state in a purified form. Water is fed into the distiller unit’s boiling chamber. Heating element in the boiling chamber heats the water until it boils. The steam rises from the boiling chamber. Minerals and salts are retained in the boiling chamber as hard deposits or scale & steam enters a coiled tube (condenser), which is cooled by cool water. Water droplets form as condensation occurs & pyrogen free high quality distillate can now be stored.
BASIC CONSTRUCTION
Glass distillation apparatus consists of a corning glass flask with heating elements embedded in glass and fused in spiral type coil internally Unit consists of a top condenser & Bottom Boiler placed horizontally with heating elements embedded in glass and fused in spiral type coil internally. Spiral Heaters are embedded in quartz tubing & are designed in such a manner so as to avoid any possible contact with the water & also avoids metal contamination. Complete with best quality glass parts, metallic stand electric board, with switch, Indicator lamp and connecting cords for flask and mains Suitable to work on 220 volts, 50 cycles AC supply.

| AUTO CUT OFF DEVICE | Device automatically keeps watch on regular supply of water in the flask and keeps the Heater on only when the water supply to the distillation flask is normal. It cuts of the power supply of Heaters from the Mains when the water supply gets disturbed and thus prevents burning of Heating Element Heaters will become automatically ON when the water supply comes to normal. | |
